Golden Team

The Golden Ministry is a special ministry for the elderly in the nursing homes locally.

Youth With A Purpose

We believe that today's young person is looking for a place to belong, and our youth Ministry is that place. Youth With A Purpose (Y.W.A.P.) youth ministry is Open Door Baptist Church's way of reaching young people for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to see young people mature in Christ, and we accomplish this with many exciting programs designed to meet the spiritual, social, and physical needs in their lives. D. T. S., skit teams, monthly activities, a special annual trip, outreach events and even our snac attacks, all make our youth ministry an exciting place to be.

Childrens Ministry

We are committed to reaching the children of this generation and those to come. Our first priority is to lead them to Christ. Then, fill them with God’s Word and teach them how to share their faith. We have all kinds of exciting ways for your child to learn about Christ and have an exciting time while doing so.


Truckers Ministry

With over five million truckers on the road every day there's a lot of loneliness on those roads. There's a lot of pressure to meet deadlines too. Throw weather conditions in with that, and it could be pretty hard on the trucker and his family! We at Open Door Baptist Church are here to meet a specific need -- a spiritual need in the lives of these truckers that come through Dothan, Alabama.

Danny and Melinda McDuffie are literally doing exactly what Luke 14:23 says, “… Go out into the highways and … compel them to come in, …” That’s just what they do every Sunday Morning and Evening at the Flying J Travel Center . Sunday Am pick up time is 9:30, Sunday Pm pick up time is 5:30.  By the way, Danny understands just what truckers face every day. He’s a trucker himself!
